Musings on Life, Love, and Linguine-Poetry & Writing
Surrounded by petrichor of tranquil rain
as it mingled with fragrance of wet roses
my soul awakens, reminiscing love’s kiss
glistening raindrops cooling hot tears
stars in our eyes falling, falling down
From threatening skies ~
Hearts cloaked in heavy perfume of flowers
at our feet in stark array, drifting pink petals
in our swirling souls, silvery essence of hope
as sensual aromas of luscious peaches linger
amid wistful sighs of our fevered searching lips.

Beautifully emotive and links certain instances with the power of individual scents. The power of floal scents caught in the first rain, is amazing..awakening..

I love the Roses, the peaches may be a bit heavy. I’m allergic to perfumes although all is generally fine on the vine.

I imagine sitting on a back porch to watch and feel the rain as it falls. Blowing mists into a hot drink. No lightning, just a calm and gentle rain for an afternoon. Thank you, Linda
