The Kiss

The key she purloined
From the silver ring
Held the secret
To a terrible truth.
Not a cellar of red wine,
But instead black sand
For a deadly weapon
To destroy the beautiful sleuth.
It would change the destiny
of thousands of souls
And two notorious spies
Who were part of a historic scene.
Their meeting of lips
The 2 1/2 minute kiss
The longest ever seen
On a cinematic screen.
The most intimate and erotic
Kiss ever filmed
In a world where
Three seconds was law.
In 1946, the rules were strict
So Hitchcock, the suspense genius
Devised a way to convey
A kiss so romantic, yet raw.

I love this movie, but I had no idea about the kiss. I always enjoy learning something new about the Hitchcock movies.
