At The Broken Window

At the broken window while tears slide down her face
she wonders how she came to be in this dreadful place
At the broken window while the world keeps spinning on
Her life has fallen around her with the coming of the dawn
At the broken window while others, in restful sleep
She, engulfed in darkness, drowns in her rending grief
At the broken window while the moon shines high above
She lives in utter loneliness and aches for her dead love
Very nice Linda. Kind of a sad thing with a brand new year ahead of us tho. Pat

A lovely poem Linda. Sad, but the beauty of your words makes the sadness so very touching. This is a wonderful piece of writing, and in my humble opinion, it’s one of your best that I have read. It touched me that much and that is what you are an artist at. 😃💛

Walt- I am both humbled and touched by your words, and I can say it’s one of the nicest compliments I’ve ever had. I value your opinion greatly, thank you. Grief and I are old friends. I guess that’s why I write about it so much.
