Alone in Paris

Paris is lonely without you. I haven’t a clue why I was foolish enough to come to the city of love without the one I love. Everywhere I turn, the memories of you and I haunt me.
Sitting on the banks of the Seine sipping wine and eating pungent cheese. Tearing off a piece of hot baguette, the aroma reminds me of you, yeasty, crusty on the outside, soft and yielding within. Walking in the gentle rain, the drops mingle with my salty tears. The reality; I’ll have to wait until the next lifetime for you. Till then- my heart, forever yours.
