Quickening of Love

Beautiful harmony of two hearts released
a quickening of breath
and the fall-ing with
a flash of pale flesh
thoughtless recklessness

And then…
the quiet peace after the feast
a dulling of tender senses
now calm…
the ravenous beast
with both hypnotized and defenseless.

    thoughtless recklessness”… the way you emphasize the idea/image of falling by inserting a hyphen in between is genius! 😍😍
