Azure Blue

I thought I saw you in the clouds floating in an azure sky but it was only my memories playing tricks on me

 
I thought I heard your voice singing on Autumn wind but it was only my wishful thinking to hear your melody again

 

I thought I tasted your lips on my parched tongue but it was only the sweetest of berries, not you for which I long

 

I thought you touched my face with your roughened hands, but it was only a falling leaf brushing against my skin

 

I thought I sensed your arms pulling me close to you but it was only the final breaking of my heart into baffling blue
