Ode to Dying Moon

Waning moon in ice blue sky did you breathe a weary sigh
when the winter solstice moved you
As you shined your brightest light that night,
did you hear the angel trumpets on high
blaring Hallelujah, Hallelujah!

When you share a cold dawn with the brilliant sun
Do you still hear golden music
And as you die your death in the sky
Do the aurora clouds mourn your good-bye
crooning to you, Hallelujah, Hallelujah!

  1. The Winter Moon hears all, Linda. I know she loves the Hallelujah, Hallelujah! song, sung right up there it will be as loud and crisp as it is on the stage. We had a budding Aretha Franklin singing our Hallelujah, Hallelujah! this Sunday. She hit the highest notes loud and firm.
