Guarding Fairies
Hidden deep in the mysterious woods
far from prying eyes
trolls stand watch over the lilliputian people
forever watching the skies
for in this land there be fire-breathing dragons
whose dark shadows hover above
hoping to snatch a tasty fairy a delicacy they love

oh i never knew they had a penchant for fairies? your poem reminded me of a scene in the book The Buried Giant, when the humans were always looking over their shoulders for the monster to appear.
