Musings on Life, Love, and Linguine-Poetry & Writing
Tipping the scales between wrong and right, balancing the weight of words and deeds
Peace and justice are reasons to fight for calm harmony is what I love and breathe
My zodiac sign is the only inanimate object representing my fixation on symmetry
My love of art, beautiful surroundings, a deep penchant for intriguing poetry
At times I can be quite willowy, with visceral thoughts floating in the fresh air
Some days I am fickle and controversial, causing people to think I don’t care.
But in spite of all my idiosyncrasies I know this much is true,
Venus, my ruling planet craves love and nothing else will do.

Venus… we all have to find our planet or star…. and a good one to follow.

Interesting slice of you, energetic, flitting about like a small bird, that when it takes wing, it’s tail fans out into fantastic colors. Love is the cosmic common denominator

We humans can be such contradictions. I really like this poem Linda, and I love the ending couplet!

I appreciate the window to your innermost self, with Venus ruling you most. I love that you seek symmetry and love of harmony.

That constant tipping can be exhausting too. I’m married to a Libra!

The shape and form of this poem reflect the subject matter, my Libran friend! That’s a great phrase ‘balancing the weight of words and deeds’, I like the rhythm of it and the alliteration of ‘weight/words’. I can understand your fixation on symmetry and the up and down I think we all have a bit of in the lines:
‘At times I can be quite willowy, with visceral thoughts floating in the fresh air
Some days I am fickle and controversial, causing people to think I don’t care.’

It all comes down to love, in the end. I don’t believe in astrology, but I think it can be an interesting way to reflect on ourselves.

Thank you Sarah. I have read a lot on it and while I don’t live my life by it, I believe it has some value.

How do we explain me? I am an Aries? It’s all about being a jerk. But I guess a loving one.

I’ve known many Aries, and they are not jerks. Was even married to one once. They can be a bit ‘it’s all about me’ but still they are good souls.

When all is said and done, the last two lines apply to us all ….. we all need love and nothing else will do! Well written.
