A Kiss in Moonlight

Moonlit path tempts with a tranquil vibe
for a languid stroll under September skies
as tree swallows serenade from fresh forsythia
burnished red from cool nights and sunlit days

Our hands entwined, we pause beneath the cloistered canopy
of the brilliant Scarlet Maple dressed in her finest of hues
as sheaves of moon beams dance with her frilly leaves
you place upon my rosee pink lips an irresistible kiss

Author’s Note: Margaret has asked us to create a poem from the paint chip names she has provided. She asked we use at least 5, I have used 9. They are: moonlit path, tranquil vibe, tree swallows, serenade, September skies, fresh forsythia, Scarlet Maple, rosee pink, and irresistible kiss.
