Musings on Life, Love, and Linguine-Poetry & Writing
“We all shine on…like the moon and the stars and the sun…we all shine on…come on and on and on…”
― john lennon
I heard the stars singing last night, an ancient lullaby
sharing their mystical wisdom from high in the nightwind sky
They sang to me their sorrow of man’s refusal to believe
how his actions are harming the earth, and the universe we see
For every action has a reaction like dominoes tumbling down
when you set one in motion, yes the world will still turn around
But the deepest question my friends we should all be thinking of
Will we be around to see it when the heavens explode above?

Good question….I so love the lines about hearing the stars singing…….maybe a lullaby because they know we are all asleep down here. I love the reference to the state of the world. A ruly wonderful poem.

That last line really makes one stop and wonder. The sun is also a star and one day will burn itself out too.

Yes, indeed. Thanks for stopping by.

A pertinent question, indeed! And here’s another – will it even matter, in the larger scheme of things, if we’re not? Perhaps we are not as important as we like to think we are.

I love the image of stars singing and the dominoes tumbling. A bleak future is ahead of us no doubt. So nicely put.
