Musings on Life, Love, and Linguine-Poetry & Writing
Plump red tomato you are sublime
fresh off the sunlit emerald vine
Quartered and dressed
in sea salt and black pepper,
Surrounding a pearly burrata
filled with luscious creamy cheese
Topped with a scattering of sweet basil leaves
fresh from the kitchen garden
A drizzle of chartreuse olive oil captures
bright flavors of sunshine and summer
with a final splash of dark balsamic vinegar ~
A delectable dish that tastes like heaven!

You really riled up the taste buds and saliva with this one. My wife only grows tomatoes any more, could live on them. She just pulled up her 8 plants today, after 2 frosty mornings.

Your dish indeed sounds wondrous. I always loved standing barefoot in the garden feasting on a plump sun-ripened tomato with the juice dripping down my chin!

I’m reading at the wrong time of day! I’m eating my breakfast of smooshed mango and hazelnuts with chopped apple and yogurt while longing for your plump red tomato and burrata, basil leaves and balsamic vinegar! Temptress!
