A Gentle Sigh

And since you hung the moon
now that you’ve gone,
will it slip from the sky
and float away
into the dark river
under the watchful eye
of the wise all knowing owl?

And as I watch
from my fortress window
will you whisper to me
on the wind
a mournful sigh
a last goodbye?

  1. I really like the vantage point you have used here – from within the tower itself. lovely description and soulful musings.
