Musings on Life, Love, and Linguine-Poetry & Writing
Quivering blush pink sky
kissing daylight good-bye
Bidding desert summer farewell
casting a colorful magical spell
Welcoming brisk autumn evenings
sitting by a roaring fire dreaming
Of summers gone, winters to come
old lovers lost, faithful hearts won
all while watching the setting sun

Oh to be sitting by a roaring fire dreaming; something so primordial in our gazing into the flirting flames.

That first stanza is gorgeous….and then to find out we are in a desert….the colors are the oasis and provide such beauty. Then from the softness of that sky to the blazing fire but relaxing in front of it. A different kind of serenity.
