Musings on Life, Love, and Linguine-Poetry & Writing
“have i gone mad?
im afraid so, but let me tell you something, the best people usualy are.”
― Lewis Carroll, Alice in Wonderland
Once I peeled back layers
of who I thought I was
I found my true heart’s calling
in cooing of mourning doves
and a cloudless azure sky.
For I am a poet,
an observer in this world
I write fanciful words
with wings unfurled.

I like the thought of having to peel back the misconceptions about oneself to become true to oneself.

It’s amazing how liberating peeling back the layers is, Linda, especially when they reveal your poet’s heart.

Oh my goodness, this is such a perfect tribute to unraveling the layers of one’s self to find the true YOU, poet and all! Love this, Linda.

Poets really are observers as we see with a different eye. It is in the releasing of our layers we often find our truest self.

I am a poet too( a learning one rather, just started as I am 13 yrs old). But would love if you could see my poems on my blog mystoems ( stories + poems ) and tell me how you like them as you seem experienced and I need to know how I can improve. Would appreciate you checking it out 😊
