Chasing Rainbows

Is it silly to chase rainbows
In this darkest of gloomy nights
That has now befallen upon us?
I think not for they hold
The brilliant warm light
Of peace, love, and life
Surrounding us with hope
As we’re bathed in prisms sparkling bright

  2. We NEED to keep the positive energy alive, it’s like aeration in water. Ironically it’s not silly to be silly as silly is the best bubbly of all.

  3. Your poem reminds me that the rainbow was the sign of God’s covenant with Noah to never again flood the world, according to the Book of Genesis. An apt sign of hope: we could all use some hope today. Beautifully done, Linda!

  4. Another funfest out here on the trail; smile. This made me think of Kermit singing THE RAINBOW CONNECTION, and of course Judy Garland.

  5. No, not silly at all. We need to stare hard at those prisms of light, dazzle our minds with hope

  6. Rainbows have spontaneously become the symbol of the NHS over here, so they are everywhere. I drove through our small town yesterday, and there are kids’ drawings of rainbows in so many windows. It’s a very special thing. I don’t know if you knew that, but it added an extra dimension for me.
