Musings on Life, Love, and Linguine-Poetry & Writing
“Fate whispers to the warrior, ‘You cannot withstand the storm.’ The warrior whispers back, ‘I am the storm.’” – Unknown
You are not welcome here begone
For this is a body of peace and grace
There is no place for the likes of you
Lurking undercover my skin and bone
Trying to invade my sacred space
How dare you feast on my flesh
Insinuate yourself into my life
I’m telling you now
You will not win over me
Love will conquer you
Strength will conquer you
Faith will conquer you
So you’d best retreat
Back to hell
Running with your tail
Between your insidious legs
Howling at the blood moon
Over your resounding defeat
While the sky full of brilliant stars
Rejoices and sings with me
Of my valiant victory for
I AM A WARRIOR

Dearest Readers: This afternoon at 1:30 Arizona time, I have an appointment with a breast cancer surgeon. I recently had an abnormal mammogram followed by an ultrasound, and there is a nodule in my left breast. I don’t know what it is yet, but I am preparing myself mentally and physically for whatever comes as my doctor says it’s ‘highly suggestive.’ I am humbly asking for prayers, healing light, positive thoughts, and love vibes. You are such an amazing community of warriors, magical thinkers, poets, and storytellers and I cherish you all. – With Peace and Love, Linda

I am sending you healing angels. It is scary but you have already started the healing process with your positive thoughts. I wrote a similar poem when I went through this a few years ago, in fact wrote a whole book of poems documenting. Keep writing. Keep strong and confident. Keep informed.

With your attitude, I have no doubt that this nodule will just be a benign fibrous mass. My wife just went through this. Sending white light your way!

W hat a wonderful poem! If anything can work like a magic spell, or affirmation, or mind-body suggestion, that will! And so will the ongoing attitude of which it’s indicative. Happy to send you some Reiki as well. xx

Thinking of you, Linda. Your owl came to you to give you strength………..some years back, I had a tumour that four doctors told me was likely malignant. I had surgery and – amazingly , having surrendered to whatever came – it was benign. I hope for the same for you. Wrap yourself in owl energy. And keep us informed. We will walk with you every step of the way.
