Caught Between

Caught between the bluest of skies
And the ocean of your eyes
I ponder how I came to be
Tossed into this treacherous sea
Why should this end where I am forever lost
Sooner or later paying the steep cost
With my precious life

  1. This is a hard one to read. I think, after the sailing, there will be calm seas and Neptune shall come to guide you into safe harbor 🙂

  2. I love the thought of being ‘caught between the bluest of skies and the ocean’ of a loved one’s eyes. I hope the ‘treacherous sea’ calms soon and you have some plain sailing.

  3. The depth of a single choice. Haunting and beautiful. I

t reminds me of an episode of “Fantasy Island”, in which a woman must be willing to die out of love for an accursed sea captain, in order for him to be free of his curse.

  4. A perilous situation indeed. I so admire the shade of blue here:

Caught between the bluest of skies
And the ocean of your eyes

  5. Romantic, sad, and personal–given what you’re going through, the closing lines make me clinch, sigh, and send white light your way.

  7. Linda, it’s unknown what’s out on the seas. Whatever you find there, for now you’re here on a seaworthy vessel and the wind with you ❤

  8. I’m wishing you highest of hopes and declare that we’re now all in the treacherous sea of life… where the unknown is around all corners. But we’re together, and you’re safe now- as we all live in hope. Fantastic poem- by the way❤️🙏🏽
