And If I…

“The moon does not fight. It attacks no one. It does not worry. It does not try to crush others. It keeps to its course, but by its very nature, it gently influences. What other body could pull an entire ocean from shore to shore? The moon is faithful to its nature and its power is never diminished.”

― Deng Ming-Dao, Everyday Tao: Living with Balance and Harmony

And if I
hold the moon in my
hands, surround
my soul with
its healing light, will all pain
align and conform?

Be set free
like music dancing
on sweet air
whispering,
Soon, this too shall pass and fade
into the cool night

To vanish
as quick as it came
become a
memory
better left buried beneath
the richness of life

  1. Oh, my goodness! What a lovely, heartfelt message. I love the comparison to the moon! You, Merril, Kerfe, and Sally are killing me this week. Throw in Jude’s poetry and I’m over the moon! ❤
