Musings on Life, Love, and Linguine-Poetry & Writing
This is unfamiliar territory
maneuvering through Tropic of Cancer
as beams of intense energy
penetrate my tender left breast
leaving behind a loss of vigor
as my body fights alongside the rays
with a parched scratchy throat and
a weakened voice screaming in silent pain
But even so on this surreal journey (Why me?)
comes a keen sense of calm, of purpose
of a life worth fighting for
Rounding the Cape of Good Hope
as I navigate through unknown waters
I find my mind and soul alive, afloat
in the aftermath of the chaotic storm
I scream with newfound joy

Nice, Linda. We have done that (Africa and New Zeeland also, Artic Circle as well), be sure to visit the Paquin’s on the Falcon Islands if you don’t touch Antarctica.

Sorry Linda. My morning after, a terrible sin, those typos. Still this morning I’m using my phone to post.

Beautiful Linda. I was on that voyage with you. It’s amazing how our words and strength, when we are forced to dig deep, get us through such pain and anguish. Wishing you the best. Hugs 🥰
