Burning

Broken shadows across the cracked ground
as summer refuses to die
the land and I are weary
day after day burning~
unrelenting rays
of intense sun
beating down
on my
breast.

  2. This one resonates with me Linda. I am always ready for summer to leave and autumn to begin. I realize it has a deeper meaning for you, and I hope your burning summer is behind you soon. Take care. xx
