With Eyes of a Child

To look at the world with eyes of a child, 
marveling at velvet wings of butterflies 
as they float from flower to flower
Slurping sweet nectar

To while away long summer hours
searching for possibilities in wispy clouds
With ne’er a worry or care

  7. Loving the illustration and oh yes….to see the world through the eyes of a child…that innocence. So very sad that as we grow up and learn new things, we also lose this abilitiy.

  9. If only we continued to look at the world with eyes of a child, Linda, we might not be in the mess we’re in, worrying about whether there will be any butterflies to marvel at in the future, let alone possibilities.

  10. Lovely, LInda. Not sure it happens now as it did then. My grandkids worry about things they shouldn’t have to. I wish kids could be free of those burdens while they are little.

  13. We forget after we venture out of our cocoon, we see and perceive fear in the world… and then we don’t develop our exploring wings until later in life…..
