Musings on Life, Love, and Linguine-Poetry & Writing
Beneath sheltering trees
red rose lips touch mine
as a curious mockingbird sings
to gentle falling rain
In our secluded refuge
there is no lingering pain
only you and me again
as we savor lush ruby wine
and lie in a bed of leaves

dVerse: Quadrille #125 In Praise of the Grape
Author’s Note: I am hosting today at dVerse and we are writing a quadrille, a form created by dVerse comprised of 44 words exactly, excluding the title. Today’s word is WINE- come join us! The pub opens at 3PM EST.
Nice illustration for your prompt. So very romantic and gentle, like a Spring breeze.

lovers reunited?- the setting creates close intimacy with the rain and the leaves, the lips that taste like wine!
