Musings on Life, Love, and Linguine-Poetry & Writing
Today, it’s as if fall has returned to the desert. Morning dawns overcast and grey with a rouge glow in the east awaiting the rising sun. My garden is thriving; the swirling air is fragrant with roses, herbs, and citrus tree blooms.Vibrant wildflowers stand out in stark contrast to the obscured glow of the hidden sun. The tinkling of various chimes and bells playfully dancing surrounds me. A gust of wind chills my aching bones as I pull my sweater tighter around me. Bette Davis was right when she said “Old age ain’t no place for sissies!” But in spite of my aches and pains, I cherish this precious moment for I am here and grateful for my simple but rich life.

What a gorgeous wildflower garden, Linda! I bet you’ve had lots of precious moments there. Our morning was overcast too, but it brightened up this afternoon. However, the temperature remained low. I love chimes and bells in a garden, they remind me of the nursery rhyme:
‘Mary, Mary, quite contrary,
How does your garden grow?
With silver bells, and cockle shells
And pretty maids all in a row.‘
I love the ‘supernal colors’ and ‘autumn memories’ in the haiku.

I do love your garden… it would be easier to handle the overcast weather and northerly winds we are having right now. It’s only a few degrees above freezing so any effort from my side to take a coffee break outside is put on hold.

Kudos for capturing your moment. Your wildflowers are inspiring. So far everyone on the trail, including me, is experiencing a cold snap, overcast and brisk. Last week we had a 80 degree day, now it’s 43.

Of course I love your garden and the lovely flowers that inhabit it. What I adore most are those bunnies poking their heads up amongst the blossoms.

Linda, today in Jerusalem it was very windy – and a relatively chilly day even though we’re well into springtime. I enjoyed it – much nicer than walking through the broiling sun 🙂

A beautiful down to earth write Linda. I like being in the present as you see the sun rise and the big gray cloud coming overhead. Spring is on the way, It won’t be long now! Well done… love the haiku.

So pretty and eye-opening. Your chilly and my chilly are many degrees apart as we are miles apart but Spring behaves the same. Thanks for your moment.
