In-Between Moments of Love

“I want

To do with you what spring does with the cherry trees.”

― Pablo Neruda, Twenty Love Poems and a Song of Despair

Scent of white jasmine on a moonlit night
in-between moments of love

A nightingale singing in blue twilight
in-between moments of love

Cicadas calling from on high in trees
in-between moments of love

A golden swarm of buzzing honeybees
in-between moments of love

Flickering eyes burn with passion’s fire
in-between moments of love

Hearts release, soaring higher and higher
in-between moments of love

Her blush pink flower opening, blooming
in-between moments of love

His fiery desire swelling, consuming
in-between moments of love
