His Spell

His Spell

Bury the past, leave it there
For it does no earthly good
To reexamine and lay bare
Some deeds may be never understood.

Let the past be the past
And there it should forever stay
No regrets or forgiveness asked
Just bow your head and pray.

 

For we are all mere mortals
Destined for imperfections
And prayer is the only portal
We should use to gain reflection.

 

For God is great as he weaves
His spell of love complete
Wrapped in his grace, never to leave
Once you’ve felt His love so sweet.
