Wonderful haiku. Just a fun story: once on a walk we encountered a mockingbird that, among his other songs, had mastered the sound of police sirens from the nearby freeway. LikeLiked by 1 person Reply
Wow! Cool! They are the state bird of Texas. I have a tattoo of them- wrote about it in my short story- Permanence. LikeLiked by 1 person Reply
We have them everywhere. The only ink I have is when I accidentally write on myself. LikeLiked by 1 person
Hush, little baby, don’t say a word. Mama’s gonna buy you a mockingbird And if that mockingbird won’t sing, Mama’s gonna buy you a diamond ring And if that diamond ring turns brass, Mama’s gonna buy you a looking glass And if that looking glass gets broke, Mama’s gonna buy you a billy goat And if that billy goat won’t pull, Mama’s gonna buy you a cart and bull And if that cart and bull turn over, Mama’s gonna buy you a dog named Rover And if that dog named Rover won’t bark Mama’s gonna buy you a horse and cart And if that horse and cart fall down, You’ll still be the sweetest little baby in town. I like your take on the prompt. Very different to what I was thinking when I wrote mine. That is the joy of the challenge. Thanks for joining in. LikeLiked by 1 person Reply
