Musings on Life, Love, and Linguine-Poetry & Writing

Cool days
delicious breeze
recites the whispering
of my Autumn soul longing to
Be free
as the saffron leaves floating in
mid-air, graceful dancing
in reverie
The leaf

Saffron is my favorite color word! How lovely. I really love the way you ended this double Cinquain. It’s almost like a meditation! ❤

Linda, this was gorgeous. Loved it?
Question: have you written about saffron before?

LOL. Thank you Drew! I just searched my 1200+ posts and yes, I did. On October 3, 2017, I wrote a triple haiku and the word saffron was in it. Why do you ask?

For some reason, the word stuck out in my mind. And I immediately thought of you. I don’t ever remember reading it in anyone;”s poetry, but I immediately related it to you.
Good to know the memory still sort of works.

How interesting. I do love the word. It evokes emotion within me, not sure why. It’s funny, but back then only 1 person commented on that poem. I was so new in this blogging world- I started in 2/17.

Hey, my first two weeks of blogging were horrible . I truly was a lonely author.

Lol. That’s a great name BTW. Tugs at every woman’s heart, but I bet you knew that!

Laughing my butt off. It was meant as lonely in that a writers trade has to be accomplished alone.
My poetry is quite a bit about loneliness and love, thus the blog name has definietly taken on the other meaning. I guess that is my brand.
Honestly, tugging at those hearts can be pretty special.

Yes, it can be lonely at times. But I do love it. To know you have touched others with your words is incredible. It’s a lovely way to be Drew. Don’t change.
