What to Give a Viking

Plundering and pillaging is not the norm
For you’re a modern day Viking
And you’d never bring any harm
Or leave your maiden crying.

So here’s a gift for you, My Big Viking,
Something old yet new
I hope it’s to your liking
For it’s a different kind of tool.

A present to spur your creative side
And keep those artistic juices flowing
Honing a craft to help pass the time
Making beautiful art that’s glowing.

A World of Love

Listen to your heart for it is wise
Forget the brain, for the brain, built to survive
Is willing to sacrifice all~ even love~ to live
But the heart, the tender heart designed to give
Love, for love is the energy thriving
When the breathing slows and the brain is dying
As the feeble beating heart whispers
You ask yourself, how will I be remembered
In my heart, there is but one question as I surrender~
How well did I love?

A Glowing Orb

Wikimedia Commons

A cold shaft of pearl moonlight
Breaking through the barren trees
A glowing orb bouncing, weaving
Come! Sweet fairies dance in winter leaves
Sway with your lover dragonflies
With wings raised high
Waltz the starry night away
As jeweled butterflies in your hair shine
