It’s You

Old telephone with book on the table, close up

It’s You

-Linda Lee Lyberg

Hello.
Good-bye.
Hello again,
Goodbye again.

Hell-oh, it’s you
Once more turning me upside down
Right when I get used to me alone.
Having conversations with myself
Solving my own dilemmas.
Hell-oh, you
Have to go?
Good-bye.

  1. You, have such a great way of making something so simple as answering the phone into an insightful and thought provoking poem. There are some really important reasons for a committed relationship, aren’t there? Kudos!
