The Message
The Message

He fashioned the bottle
From walnut wood
Carefully sanded and honed
He made it with love
And tucked within
A message of love intoned.
Tied with a blue ribbon
The one and only poem
He wrote to his loving wife
He labored and toiled with the words
He wrote from his heart
And from his soul
‘How lucky was his life.
Because she was there
To soothe and ease
His many personalities
You give me your love
Each and every day’
And signed it, Sincerely
Your husband.
