Daisy Love
-Linda Lee Lyberg
As I pluck each tender blade
From this beautiful daisy
He loves me, He loves me not
I ask, am I sane or indeed crazy?
To base my love for this man
On an innocent child’s game
What will happen if he doesn’t
Will I hang my head in sadness and shame?
Will I walk away from him
Based on the last tender petal
I am putting my life in God’s hands
Was this daisy made to try my mettle?
And now I am ultimately left
With three more tiny leaves
He loves me, He loves me not
He loves me and so, at last I now believe!
