Hello

Hello.
Here you are in the
Winter of my life
With a delicate blossom.

When I look into your eyes
I see a faded memory
Long forgotten
Now remembered but
What is this I remember?
For memories are nothing more
Than past lives forgotten
And future realities
That will one day be.
You have touched my soul
I do not understand
I am puzzled
Confused
Amazed
Elated.
Can others possibly see
The unique bond we have?
Is this the reason why
We feel their cloaked envy?
What can I say to you
I do not believe I am
Like the rest of the people
Who have been in your life.
I make no demands
I give and expect nothing
And what a sweet sensation
To receive that hidden part of you
That no one but me ever has.
With love and longing I have
Caressed your tender heart
And found the hidden chasm where
There is a vivid fleeting memory
Of you and I… a lifetime ago.
Hello, again.
