Scorching summer sun
Throws shadows on hot pavement
Heat waves shimmering
Distorting reality
What is real or a mirage.

  2. Sometimes when I see the heat shimmering it makes me wonder if Mother Nature is getting a migraine. Silliness aside, your Tanka tells the story of summer’s truth and illusion. Thanks for sharing.
