Faith

If you could only see my heart
And the beauty that lies within
You’d see shattered broken parts
In faith are beginning to mend

 
With gossamer butterfly’s wings
Silky threads from heaven above
My heart learning once more to sing
From the purity of your selfless love

 
For you have lifted me higher
Than I have ever been before
My soul once again on fire
My wings unfurling to soar

 
Wings bathed in healing angel’s tears
Shimmering in the brilliant sun
To wash away all scars and fears
Of unraveling and coming undone
