Hell’s Hound

She heard boards creak behind
And dared not turn around
For if she did she may find
Herself facing Hell’s hound.

 
She stops, frozen as does he
A sound of tremored breathing
Swirling, she bites him in glee
His devil’s soul ending, floating free.
