Quench

composing-2391033_1920

-By Linda Lee Lyberg

That which quenches

A  parched thirst

Desolate hunger

Lonely wanting

An aching yearning

Is it not sustenance

For the withered mind

The deserted soul

A forlorn heart

The throbbing body?

Or a riotous cacophony

of thwarted emotions?
