Treasonous Heart

Treason is a blow that comes unexpectedly
Heart, its dreams and wishes
Listen to heart, heart, hearts become fearful
Moments could have been good
Treasures might have been found
Look up at the moonless sky
No heart has ever suffered
When it goes in search of its dreams.

Today, Victoria is hosting at dVerse poets pub and has presented a wonderful challenge. Some blackout or erasure poetry.

Hearts going in search of their dreams seems to be what keeps those hearts beating.
