raindrops from verdant leaves fall
melodious song
stillness in morning
woodland warblers croon at dawn
seeking the sun’s warmth
raindrops from verdant leaves fall
earthy forest floor teeming
lizards puffing throats
melodious song
crickets singing for more rain
beetles hunt for worms
