Forbidden Fruit

Waxing moon in a cloud laden sky
oh, what secrets you could tell!
Forbidden fruits savored in lusty sighs
pulsing thoughts weaving a magic spell.

When those deep dark secrets be told
do you look down and wisely say
Love freely with abandon, be bold
for all too soon youth will fade away.

Fantasy is a formidable force
leaving you with weak trembling limbs
as a tossing ship tries to stay its true course
you surrender to the mind and give in.
