Scribing Thoughts

Scribing thoughts in pale candlelight
shadows dancing across the page
passionate dark mysteries unraveling
Is it my muse or my wise old sage?

I don’t question but let them keep flowing
at times reflections make little sense
but as I begin writing, they start singing
leaving my open heart with no defense.

 

I am in love with both sage and muse
for they are my favorite companions
serenading with their soul wisdom
leaving me sated with more to imagine.
