Aroma of Love

Your aroma intoxicates my senses
as the physical world passes us by
a virile scent destroying my defenses
so in your arms I’m content to lie.

 
Twinkling stars gleam in opal eyes
as my mouth sings with the moon
bright and brilliant in ebony sky
two aching hearts open and swoon.

 
I am yours and you are mine
beyond forever and one day
two as one, always entwined
until we fade to heaven’s grey.
