Falling

Alone in this peaceful space
with only my spirited thoughts
forbidden luscious flowers tempting
my life breathing light and free
my inner passions set loose, unleashed.
Colors dancing before my eyes
in a hypnotic melodic reprise
of ethereal dreams from long ago
before I was now, ancient and wise.
When mind and soul as one, flowed from my open heart
in wave after wave of thunderous emotions
zealously drinking love’s tempting potion
as I fell into the deep cobalt abyss

Thank you Drew- smiling! Itβs been a quiet day today. Maybe everybody is celebrating 4/20- lol!

LOL Not me. I am content just celebrating life.

Me either. Red wine is my drug of choice. Funny, back in the day when all my friends were getting high, and I wasnβt, they teased me and said- youβre high on life Linda!

I went through the same thing. I will have an occasional drink or wine. I remain high on life and love.

Reality is for people who can’t cope with drugs. That would be me.
Great poem, by the way!
