Broken Dreams

Eyes as bright as the bluest of sky
a laugh that lit up a dreary room
No one saw the black darkness
lurking in the shadows of
with a gun by your broken soul
the good you left behind, beautiful music
playing on in an efficacy of delicate
memories sung in a darkened
nightclub bursting with broken dreams
what it must mean to be gone,
