“Fear makes for Good Servants and bravery is fraudulent.”- Jim Harrison
Fear came calling in the mirror
Another wrinkle, another line,
soon you’ll know the taste of death
and how it is to be free of me.
Brave responded to fear in kind with an unwavering stare
Without me and my genius mind where I ask would you be?
Writing in a darkened corner,
trapped in the labyrinth of Daedalus
penning your imprisoned thoughts yearning to be set free.
At least I had the courage to start, you only hopped on for the ride.
