“Time travel offends our sense of cause and effect – but maybe the universe doesn’t insist on cause and effect.”– Edward M. Lerner
Although our lips have never kissed, I sense their sweet essence
bathed in the effervescent atmosphere of the clouded mist
A watercolor of our previous life brush stroked on our souls
an emotion with pure intensity, and beauty to behold
And though it’s thought not possible to travel through time
spirit has no boundary when seeking perfect love sublime

Author’s Note: Inspired by the old movie Somewhere in Time, starring Christopher Reeve and Jane Seymour.
