Bed of roses
Bed of thorns
Thorns of life
Thorns of sin
Sin is the cause
Sin is the lust

Lust in the dust
Lust in the trust
Trust in my love
Trust in my soul
Soul is always seeking
Soul has the secrets
Secrets in my heart
Secrets in your eyes
Eyes are the windows
Eyes are the hope
Hope lifts the spirit
Hope eases the pain
Pain is the remembering
Pain is the rain
Rain drops
Rain falls
Falls into love
Falls between the cracks
Cracks in the sidewalk
Cracks in the heart
Heart beckons
Heart pleads
Pleads for mercy
Pleads for grace
Grace is the saving
Grace is the key
Key to happiness
Key to life
Life is eternal
Life is blessings
Blessings follow
Blessings ease
Ease the loneliness
Ease the grief
Grief can be consuming
Grief is part of life
Life is beautiful
Life is alive
Alive with wonder
Alive with joy
Joy untethered
Joy blossoming
Blossoming…
Untethered…
