Rhapsody in blue, soft muted gloaming
a welcomed respite before early night
when forever souls wander, roaming
now gone from our fragile sight
as memories wash the painted land
amid thoughts of our own mortality
for there we walk hand in hand

I love that you have gone against the grain, Linda, and chosen early evening rather than early morning! ‘Rhapsody in blue’ is perfect for that moment in the early evening when the sky on the turn and becomes a kind of navy – the perfect time for wandering souls..

There is something beautiful about this stark reality — I love how you have blended thoughts of life and mortality in an evening setting. 🙂

During these times, thoughs of our own mortality sneaks up, specially during the autumn season. Love the mood: Rhapsody in blue.

an early night – this is a beautiful description of something that ends too soon – but ever so gently it goes
