Lies in disguise
Disguise undercover

Uncovers truth
Uncovers bed
Bed where you lay
Bed where you sleep
Sleep with the fishes
Sleep with your dreams
Dreams of the future
Dreams of the past
Past lives
Past loves
Loves one another
Loves in vain
Vain images
Vain thoughts
Thoughts become things
Thoughts can create
Create a world
Create sweet peace
Peace for all
Peace for mankind
Mankind is destructive
Mankind is lost
Loss of meaning
Loss of purpose
Purpose to change

  2. Oh, yes, I remember this form — you have very well used the repetitions in creating a kind of a chant and a narrative which is impactful in its enforced and unyielding quality. 🙂

  5. I like the repetition and the shape of your poem, Linda, which has a gentle flutter to it. I also like the thread of word association and the rhymes, especially in the lines:
    ‘Robe of lies
    Lies, telling lies
    Lies in disguise
    Disguise undercover
    Disguise uncovers’.

  14. This is an interesting form! Thanks for introducing it to me. Will have to try it. I love how it supports the poem idea of the flutter of butterfly wings causing/connecting to a larger outcome.

    Showing cumulative power
    In this little spot
    In the lower South
    A breeze is whispering
    To a girl stuck
    In a chrysalis of jade.

      • It is interesting how strings of words evoke so many different feeling and circumstances I really like this blitz especially:

        Thoughts can create
        Create a world
        Create sweet peace
        Peace for all
        Peace for mankind

        This I think is the center of your poem spatially and thematically, it flutters away for a moment, but returns to it for more nectar

  18. I write and pray for peace daily. Old world need to slow down. Lead with concern, kindness and we need to listen to each other. Wonderful words and thoughts shared my friend.
