snow on the mountains
frost covered roofs, cold mornings-
late spring arrival

Author’s Note: This was taken yesterday about 10 minutes from our house. It is a highly unusual sight for us. We have had a cold, wet winter, at least for Mesa Arizona!

those mountains are gorgeous with their “roof top” of snow!

My wife remembers, back in the 1980s, people bundling up when the temps dropped into the 60s, there in Mesa – so seeing that must bring thoughts of the Arctic!

Haha! Yes, it does. We’ve had freezing temps at night. Had to crack the ice on my bird baths and water fountain. And today? It’s 61 degrees. Go figure.

Very pretty picture inspired your Haiku very nicely, Linda. Spring came here, in the Houston area, our one and only frost was in the last week of January.

Thank you Jim. My daughter lives in Cypress and says it’s been a mild winter.

I have friends in Mesa, Phoenix and Scottsdale! Visits there are beyond wonderful, no matter the season! Bend Oregon is in the midst of an epic snow! And, your haiku is lovely.
